The Judge wanted to know why European elites are constantly promoting the idea that war with Russia is likely. My take is that European leaders have long argued that Putin is an imperialist bent on conquering all of Ukraine and making it part of a greater Russia, and then attacking Eastern Europe. I see no evidence that Putin intends to do this, or that Russia has the capability to do it, but European elites believe otherwise. Very importantly, they recognize that Ukraine is faltering in the war and believe that Russia is likely to triumph, which means their worst nightmare is about to come true. In their view, Russia is on the march and NATO will have to stop it—which effectively means it is time to get ready for World War III.I also emphasized that European leaders talk about the danger of war with Russia, because they think that illusionary threat might get President Trump to remain firmly committed to NATO and the defense of Europe. But even if that fails, threat inflation will hopefully persuade European publics to spend the enormous sums needed to build up their countries’ defenses.
The Judge and I also talked about the trouble Trump is having bringing an end to both the Iran war and the war between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia. I argued that he is in deep trouble and that the situation is likely to become even more difficult. I also made the case that Trump should have stuck with the Memorandum of Understanding he signed with Iran on June 17, 2026. It was a bad deal for the United States, but ending the war then would have been far better than allowing it to continue in the hope that some magical way of defeating Iran might materialize.

Until he hears that the game is over and that the West has a long—term strategic goal of making Ukraine part of NATO, he will continue to put pressure on Ukraine, and some will continue to seek to divide it”.
To prepričanje, da bodo to Rusi mirno požrli, da bo: Putin will react by making a deal: , je smrtno nevarno. Rusi so resni ljudje, njihova diplomacija je vrhunska s stoletji tradicije, ne nek amaterizem Kaja-e Kalas et consotres. Tam je vsaka beseda natančno odmerjena , premišljena in ima za to neko težo. To ni neko blebetanje Trump-a ali von der Layen-ove.Zato je potrebno njegove besede, da bo vojna z Evropo drugačna kot ukrajinska, da bo trajalo zelo kratko (pomeni, da bo jedrska) jemati ZELO ZELO resno.
Problem, ki ga vidim je, da evropska elita sčasoma začenja verjeti svoji lastni propagandi. Iz čistega obupa. Pred kratkim sem citiral.
Najbolj nevarne so tiste iluzije s katerimi se tolažimo.
Evropa je pred gospodarsko katastrofo, ki jo je povzročila desetletja trajajoča kretenska ekonomska strategija, med tem najbolj izstopajoča Energiewende, upadanje mednarodne konkurenčnosti (oz, izgubljanje tržne bitke proti Kitajski), da bi na koncu zaradi še bolj kretenske zunanje politike padla v akutno energetsko krizo.
Potrebno je samo še izgubiti (jedrsko) vojno proti Rusiji in katastrofa oz. smrt Evrope bo dokončna.
Zato je Janševo ponovno flirtanje z Ukrajino tako zelo nevarno. Ker izpostavlja Slovenijo. Slovenija je imela zelo dobre stike z Rusijo, je tradicionalna prijateljska slovanska država brez bremen iz preteklosti. Kaj se je nam treba mešati v Ukrajinsko-Ruski spor? Kaj imamo mi s tem?
Samo to, da kot ubogljivi vazali dokazujemo svojo pokornost in zvestobo? Ali je zadaj še kaj drugega?
