Kar pa ni bilo všeč nekdanji kandidatki za predsednico Ukrajine Olgi Timošenko, kateri se je nenadoma zasvitalo, da Ukrajinci s svojimi življenji igrajo poligon za oslabitev Rusije. In da seveda prav zaradi tega razloga politikom največjih EU držav in vodstvu Evropske komisije nikakor ni všeč ideja o koncu vojne v Ukrajini. Ukrajina mora z njihovo podporo vztrajati še pet let in se pustiti pobiti, da bi se nevarnost s strani Rusije za EU države zmanjšala.

Ukraine’s political heavyweight Yulia Tymoshenko says Ukrainian parliament must react to a statement by the head of the German intelligence, Bruno Kahl, who said that Russia would not be weakened enough if war in Ukraine ends earlier than 2029-30.

Tymoshenko says Kahl confirmed “what we didn’t want to believe in so much” – that “somebody has decided to pay with the lives of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians and with the destruction of Ukrainian state for the cause of weakening Russia”.

She adds that her parliamentary group will initiate a hearing.

Kahl is not the first one in the West who speaks in this vein. Dutch defence minister Kajsa Ollongren said in 2023 that Ukraine was “a very cheap way of ensuring that Russia is not a threat to our alliance”. Danish PM Mette Frederiksen recently said that war in Ukraine is better than peace.

It is an interesting example of suppressed thought in the context of Ukrainian conflict.

Tymoshenko says what numerous Ukrainians think privately but only precious few dare to say for the fear of SBU knocking on the door. I remember her warning, prior to the full-out invasion, that Ukraine was offering itself as a battlefield between great powers.

Kahl, in his turn, openly says what Western securocratic community had in mind all those years. Gloves are very much off.
